The CQI score is a globally recognized standard that assesses the quality of green coffee beans, evaluating attributes such as aroma, flavor, aftertaste, acidity, body, and balance. A score of 80 or above is considered specialty coffee, which signifies a truly exceptional coffee. This score not only validates Gaia’s meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire coffee production process, from cultivation to harvest to processing, but also reinforces our commitment to sourcing and producing high-quality specialty coffee that meets the expectations of coffee enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.
