Reject chemicals of unknown origin and unnecessary plastic packaging.

REDUCE

REDUCE

Reduce water, energy and paper consumption through optimized processes.

REUSE

REUSE

Reuse packaging while maintaining hygiene standards.

REPAIR

REPAIR

Repair equipment, packaging and pallets to extend their lifecycle.

REPLACE

REPLACE

Gradually replace equipment with energy-saving, efficient solutions.

REPURPOSE

REPURPOSE

Recycle coffee by-products into compost or new products.

REFUSE

  1. Do not use any cleaning chemicals that lack documentation proving their safety.
  2. Do not import coffee of unknown origin or linked to deforestation risks.
  3. Avoid outer plastic wrapping unless strictly necessary.
  4. Minimize use of foam, bubble wrap and shrink wrap — prioritize compostable materials.
  5. Refuse single-use promotional items (including "eco-friendly" ones) with low long-term value.

REDUCE

  1. Reduce water consumption across the entire production process.
  2. Optimize electricity use, especially in roasting and storage.
  3. Minimize production errors through strict process controls.
  4. Limit unnecessary printing, prioritize digitization.
  5. Reduce transport emissions by optimizing delivery routes.

REUSE

  1. Reuse burlap sacks, pallets, and intact carton boxes.
  2. Recover and reuse processed water meeting hygiene standards.
  3. Reuse office supplies and containers multiple times.
  4. Reuse internal packaging within food safety hygiene limits.

REPAIR

  1. Prioritize repairing roasters and machines before replacing them.
  2. Regularly maintain electrical, cooling and office equipment.
  3. Repair pallets, shelves and boxes rather than replacing at first sign of damage.
  4. Keep spare parts to extend equipment lifespan.

REPLACE

  1. Gradually replace old equipment with energy-efficient alternatives.
  2. Switch from traditional lighting to high-efficiency LEDs.
  3. Transition to biodegradable packaging instead of conventional plastics.
  4. Replace industrial chemicals with organic, eco-friendly processing solutions.

REPURPOSE

  1. Coffee husks and grounds are repurposed as organic compost.
  2. Coffee chaff can be used as fuel or soil amendment material.
  3. Research and develop new products from coffee by-products (soap, candles, animal feed...).
  4. Partner with recycling facilities for proper waste processing.
